Team Competition Rules

• Two person teams.
• Team must choose either BOAT or SHORE division at time of registration.
• Team must have a Team Name.
• Team with the heaviest cumulative weight by the end of the Derby wins. All three Species are eligible, but all three species do not have to be weighed in to qualify (i.e. the Team with one 21-lb. bluefish wins over a Team with a 10-lb bluefish, 6-lb. false albacore and a 4-lb. bonito.)
• The heaviest fish of each species for both team members will count toward the team’s cumulative weight. Up to three fish per member, for a total of six fish, may be counted in a Team’s total.
• If the Team does not sign up at the time of Derby registration, the Team must wait a 24 hour time period to weigh in a fish for the Team Competition.
• Anglers can only be on ONE Team.
• Winning Teams from each division will win a trophy to be awarded at the Awards Ceremony.
• ALL INFORMATION ON REGISTRATION FORM MUST BE FILLED OUT OTHERWISE THE TEAM WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE.
• All Derby rules, boundaries and regulations apply to the Team Competition.
